QuestionsBefore you connect
Does the MCP server cost extra? No. It is part of every plan, free key included. A tool call counts as one API call.
Which assistants work?Any client that speaks MCP over HTTP with a bearer token: Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and others. Use the JSON or the line above.
How fresh is the data? The same as the API: guides are read through the day, and now and next is worked out at the moment you ask.
What happens at my limit? The tool answers with an error the assistant can read, saying the limit and when it resets. Nothing is charged.
Is my key safe?It travels only to tvguideapi.com over HTTPS. We keep a fingerprint, never the key, and you can rotate it any time from your account.
Can it see past schedules?Yes, on the Archive plan: past days for channels and shows, back as far as each one is held.
